First of all thank you very much Loic for your warm hospitality in La Paz. It was very nice to relax a few days.
After the Peruvian Titicaca shore we discovered the Bolivian shore (pretty much the same! but still beautiful). We put the car on an open "boat" to cross the estuary before heading to La Paz.
We really enjoyed French-Bolivian cuisine (lama a la sauce moutarde is amazing!) as we were tired of the sardine and other canned meals or even cheap local cuisine.
We rested, took many showers, slept in a real bed and had our car checked before driving to Potosi. There we had an incredible tour inside an active mine and even exploded dynamite. This was our last stop before Uyuni.
The Uyuni Salar is the remains of a lake, at 3700m altitude and is famous for its magic scenary. There are no clear roads crossing the Salar so we decided to discretely follow some guided tours, at least in the white salt "lake".
We probably should have followed them afterwards but prefered to go on our own in the desert instead. We got a bit lost, not able to choose between the thousands of tracks on our way... and we hit a big rock under the car which created a hole in the exhaust pipe. Now we sound like a motorbike !
Thanks to our compas and extra tank of fuel we finially managed to go to the Chilean border. That was quite an experiance with amazing landscape.
